Drive south to Wellington, New Zealand’s political capital. There are many beautiful government heritage buildings to explore. There are many heritage museums to explore in Wellington. Take a ride on the famous cable car that takes you up the hill to the Botanic garden. It’s a beautiful panoramic view from the top of the hill. Stay overnight in Wellington. Visitors have the option to take the scenic Overlander rail journey to reach Wellington from Auckland.

Day 5

The journey of North Island ends here for your onward flight back to your home town. Travelers visiting South Island can take inter island ferry service that connects Wellington in North Island to Picton in South Island.
