The Church Of The Good ShepherdThe Church of the Good Shepherd

On the shores of New Zealand’s highest lake, Lake Tekapo is the Church of The Good Shepherd. The church was built in 1935, as a memorial to the pioneers of the Mackenzie Country. The Church offers awe inspiring views of  Lake Tekapo and mountains through the alter window. The sun light reflecting from the rock dust suspended in the waters of Lake Tekapo, that flow into the Lake Tekapo, due to the glacier grinding the mountain rocks, creates Lake Tekapo’s unique bluish water color.
